Outline
Our company, Montage Group was established in 1987. We were initially involved in the sourcing of componentry offshore for timber venetian blinds which we would re sell into the Australian market. It soon became evident that the general quality of componentry was not of a high standard and the materials used in their manufacture were not suitable for the harsh Australian climate. This led to the decision to design and manufacture our own range of quality componentry suited to Australia's high standards.
Over time, with the expansion of the range, overseas clients also saw the advantage of products that had been tested to such a high standard, and they became part of our customer base.
From our factory/warehouse based at Seven Hills in NSW, we have been servicing our customer's requirements, supplying a complete range of products Australia wide, specialising in the areas of Timber Venetian and Shutter systems.
During this period, we identified a need to supply economical, integrated light control and energy management systems. Based on our knowledge and experience with blinds and shutters we utilised the natural ventilation characteristics, and began work on our environmentally sensitive systems.
In our quest to establish the highest quality range of products, we found it necessary to invest in research and development tools to enable us to achieve our goals. This included
the establishment of an internal design facility using CAD technology to assist in the ongoing development of our systems. A full time tool maker was employed, enabling us to perform product cycle testing, prototyping and assist in the development of assembly jigs and tooling.
A manufacturing facility was established in Southern China to ensure control of all facets of our componentry manufacturing process, enabling us to comply with ISO9001. From our branch office based in Hong Kong, we export to our customers overseas and supply our Australian clients either directly or via our NSW warehouse.
From our successful start in the design and manufacture of VollayT Aluminium Shutters and Louvres, we have utilised this technology to grow our business in the Commercial arena and now supply one of the most comprehensive ranges of Residential and Commercial Shutter and Louvre Systems available in Australia today.
With a wide range of blades sizes and designs from 45 to 600mm, VollayT customers are able to satisfy their customer's demands with virtually any project that comes their way. This is further enhanced by the VollayT philosophy of continual product improvement and our 'boutique' approach to new product design and development enables new products to hit the market very quickly.
Montage's in-house CAD and Graphic Design facilities offer a complete creative package for the development of technical drawings and point-of-sale material, speeding up the creative process and allowing the client the opportunity to converse with our technical/creative team.
